Randy Moss to 49ers

Wide receiver, Randy Moss has reached a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. The receiver went to Santa Clara to work out for the team and coach Jim Harbaugh. It would be a great asset to the team since their receiving core is depleting with the loss of Braylon Edwards in December. Moss will join first round pick Michael Crabtree and quarterback, Alex Smith who has yet to be resigned. The team finished just shy of the the Super Bowl this past season and hope to go for a repeat of going even further. And just maybe Moss will be that missing link to take them to the big game.

For the record, I’m not much of a Randy Moss fan, but I will acknowledge the man’s talent. Secondly, most everyone knows Moss’ work ethic and attitude. When you get Randy Moss on your team, you also get the baggage that comes along with him being there. Moss is known for taking time off during games and not make much of an effort if he’s not in the best of moods.

Here comes along former teammate, Cris Carter who basically states the obvious, “the one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing. It’s not an age thing. It needs to be addressed. I believe it’s the elephant in the room. It’s that thing called quit.” Now Carter was simply stating his opinion and was saying what most people won’t say out loud including making some real good points.

But of course Moss took it as a personal dig on him as a whole, which was clearly not the case since Carter acknowledged how much Moss is a beast on the field. Keep Reading There’s More…

Randy Moss Coming Out of Retirement…What Else is New?

So it’s been going around that wide receiver, Randy Moss is coming out of retirement to try and play again for a team. Supposedly there are teams like the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers, are interested in the 35 year old receiver. My biggest question to this is who actually believed that Moss was seriously considering retirement because he wasn’t picked up last season? This in my opinion was inevitable. Moss, being a great receiver already is an athlete, an athlete with fire in him to still play the game. He has that competitive spirit to want him to keep going since he feels he still has some game left in him. Not only that, let’s take a look at the receivers stats and accomplishments, over the course of his career, Moss had at least one catch for 50-plus yards every year with catches for over 70 yards in the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
